Power isn't everything for me. I like the interior of my car much more than the ugly EVO's.

Plus, I like the boxer rumble.

Not sure if you have seen this video yet... but it can help you with your decision.

my evo 8 was great...my wrx was great, my evo 9 was a piece of crap from the factory, and our sti's have been great...

evo's make better #'s but dont hold up as well
Sti's stand up to the abuse over and over from what i've seen....if its for reliability i'd go for an sti

if its for dyno #'s its the evo

How about as far as the motors themselves. What's a "reliable" HP number for both on a stock bottom end?

Thanks for that vid too Dragon.

Like it has been said before. It depends on what your goals are. If you are looking to make big power fairly easy and cheap, be fast on the stock turbo, have a motor that can take a beating, and 350 whp with just a MBC, hard pipes and exhaust than you want = EVO

If a nice interior, great community, quick and fun to drive car, and aggressive styling is what floats your boat then = STi

IMO the STi is a better ALL AROUND car for the money. I would personally go with the EVO though because power and speed is what makes my panties wet.

Austin from ATL, tOP sPEED tuned 04 STi. UR GT35R kit and every supporting mod, meth exct made 590whp on a stock long block. He streeted it, tracked it, dynoed it, and they tried to blow it on the dyno and the thing took 30+ pounds and it wouldent give. They are plenty of ppl out there who have 500+ on up daily driver and its not going to be cheap.

The Evo has its pro's and con's just like the STi. you have to consider if you have a good tuner local or reasonably close for your needs. The parts are cheaper, however the car lacks some of the luster the Subaru has.

My advise would be to get on IWSTI.com - The Largest STi Community on the Internet! and poke around. Theres just not enough ppl here with Power cars.

Alright. Thanks for the info guys. It seems I'm leaning towards the STI. The only thing I'm having a hard time getting over is the interior, or the lack of color options inside. All the ones I see have the blue/black interior.

Anyway, in the end I think it is going to be down to a simple test drive of both and see which one triggers that special feeling.

I'd bring myself over a GTR straight from Toyko, but that's just me...
