If i were staying with a a stock turbo, i would do a topmount, meth, supporting mods, and a good tune. should be some pretty awesome gains.

... also, choose the size of the FMIC to match the turbo. My APS DR525 is not optimal for the VF39 as I had lots-o-lag before the tune. I got it becasue I plan on a turbo upgrade this winter.

if your planning on upgrading to a turbo requiring a FMIC (using the idea i posted earlier), then go ahead and get a FMIC. I did it on the stock turbo for awhile and had no real problems with it. Never raced it though, so I cant tell you if it hurt or enhanced the performance, but the lag after the shift was the same as with any turbo. Its definitely not worth it in its own respect, but if you plan on upgrading in the near future, it wont hurt to do it first.

if you dont plan on upgrading the turbo, then stick with a top mount.
