Default Need some advice

I have an 04' WRX with Prodrive Intake and SPT Cat Back.

I am looking to add a Down Pipe here soon. And get the Snowmann Tuning!!!

I want to get some advice on Down Pipes.

Right now I am looking at the Invidia WRX STI V3 Divorced Wastegate Downpipe Catless, but I am not sure if running catless is ok.

Also some people have told me that I cant run a DP on an 04 WRX with out Full EM (due to OL/CL problems).

Also whats with the divorced wastegate?

Any and all information would help a lot. I am new to the whole DP topic!!

Thanks,

Mike

Catted or non is really a personal choice the benefit of running catless isnt really that great over a Hi-flo catted DP. I would suggest getting a belmouth design though, such as the Helix or Cobb. FWIW: you would have full EM at that point.

go with the helix v3 catless with the option to have external wastegate. theres a plate that goes on the dp so if you dont want to have external waste gate then you dont have to but if you get a new turbo and its set up for external you dont have to buy a new dp you just remove the plate and there you go. go to GRUPPE-S its $199 shipped you cant beat that price

Thats a great price!

Do I have to worry about that Wastegate provision leaking while I am not using it?

And I am still not sure if I want to go catted or not. Lots of debates on using hi-flow or not.

Side Question: With the catless DP and my SPT Cat Back is there a chance of flames?

Look into Megan Racing if you're worrying about spending too much money. Helix is going down the crapper, fast. Gruppe-s is always sold out of helix stuff anyways. I know for a FACT that Megan Racing is quality stuff. I think the DP is like 150. Check out boostbuddy dot com. But, MR doesn't have a cat. Any catted DP is going to cost you around 1-200 more dollars.

Yeah with that DP, SPT Cat-Back and the Prodrive Intake. After my Snowman tune I should be running pretty good!!!
