Angry Transmission Problem, Dealer will not fix !!!help

My clutch went out about 700miles no big deal. I got the dealership to replace the clutch and flywheel. They opened the transmission because they first thought it was the sycros that were the problem because it was hard to get it into first gear. Then they found it was the clutch. NOW I was trying to get into traffic and I rev it up to 1500rpm then slowly let the clutch out then I heard a big bang and rattling sound. Then the car did not go anywhere. I could not get it into any gear at all either.

The dealership is saying it not under warranty because of the clutch.

Do you think it should be under warranty if so what can I say to the dealership so they will fix it?

Thanks for your help

that doesn't sound right. Was it an issue of warranty, or an issue of they just did work on your trans/clutch/flywheel and now that your trans is broke it must have been something they did that broke it? If there's nothing to the story that you're leaving out then you might want to dispute it.

has to be either a faulty clutch or shitty work that in turn busted your tranny b/c regardless any new clutch job should have a break in of at least 500 miles....so hopefully you didnt jump on it too hard but they couldnt kno that either... they should fix it

I think I heard someone (who was replacing the tranny on their WRX) say a new STi tranny runs like $6k. Which I agree is too god damn much.

If subaru does not do it under warranty I am going to see if I can do it myself or take it to a shop to do.

If that happens I am going to buy the Version 6 STI RA (Special Edition) Gearsets - Cryo Treated cost around 1400. I like to get the Sti tranny with DCCD but I don't have 7k for it.

I hope I don't have to replace it right now. IF I do are the gears good and they will not brake?

keep im mind its 7k for just the tranny itself. I dont think that comes with Diffs or axels and what not. Its rediculous for an STI Tranny. YOu could have a decent dog box that will be ten times stronger for less.
