Launching tips
I think its more of the latter, Im just afraid of slipping it too quick and turning into more of a drop. Trying to get it down with the least amount of damage to the tranny that I can. Like I said, Ill talk to/ride with some people at track day and see whats up.
you know that when you rn with people the extra weight will throw their times off.
but if you can get some coaching it would be very benificial..... if it is from someone that knows what they are doing. so try and weed through the BS.

If this is what you are doing and can't get below 2.x then check your tire pressure. May need to firm them up a little, maybe around 40-42psi. The re070's are real sticky which can lead to bogg's ville. Sunshine is usually pretty grippy as well. You need some wheel spin or else....blaaaaa.....varoom!

On the second yellow I floored it and stepped off the clutch with the "just stepped in dogshit" method. This was netting me nothing as the car bogged and fell on its face (revs dropped to ~2.5k). I decided I was letting the clutch out too fast and on the next run I slipped it a bit slower. This netted me my best time:
r/t..... .575
60'..... 2.232
1/8.... 9.984
mph... 69.71
The rest of the runs were 2.3-2.4 60' and about 10.2 1/8. Traps were consistent at 69.xx. So Im about 4 tenths off of a good 60', 9 tenths off of a good 1/8th, and 5mph off of a good trap. I bogged every run, so Im wondering what the cure is for that. I know its a common problem when first dragging the car, but what did you guys do different to get rid of it?

well my AEM EMS has a option that untill i reach 10 mph it will only let me rev up till 5,500rpm so i just floor it and wait untill i feel the clutch grab and i just dup it after that. It works for me, before the EMS i would just rev it up till 4k and wen the light turn green i would punch it and just drop the clutch, my best 60ft has been a 1.6
