In a way it can. I'm rolling my own with a custom microcontroller setup with a thermocouple in an attempt to maintain IC outlet temperature. I'll also have a variety of other sensors to turn it on in certain conditions (throttle %, boost pressure, etc). Should be an interesting project, since I'll be able to hook my laptop up and read the IC outlet temperature in real time, should I want to. Couple that with the JDM auto spray switch as an "enabler" and the US STi switch for a manual kick, and it should be pretty sweet. Perfect for the Dragon or a nice gravel run.

My name is Alizarin, and I am a nerd.

Roof scoop update: Its at the body shoppe to be painted. It's actually alot bigger than I thought, but I guess it needs to be to cover the vent. I'm wondering if I really will need the STi scoop to make it look even. Time for some research. I should have it (the scoop) back by Wednesday, so I'll take some pics when I get it. He also said that he wasn't very comfortable doing the actual vent install, so now I need to find somebody who does sunroof installs, since this is quite similar, but won't charge me a fortune. Not a problem really, I wouldn't want somebody doing it if they don't have confidence they'll do it right.

Um... I don't have a sunroof. I don't want a sunroof. The item in question that the scoop is covering is the roof vent from the STi Spec C.

This is the real roof scoop that is made to cover the Spec C roof vent... rally stylee.

After the paint is applied, and it is installed, it'll look like this:
