Default JDM stylee!

Roof scoop arrives Monday... I'll probably have it at the body shoppe that day to be painted, then I'll get the whole thing (including vent) installed!

I know, I know... TTIWWOP, but those will hafta wait until its all installed (that's a smirk?) Or at least until Monday.

I suppose I can understand a roof scoop if you're planning on tracking the car. Lapping on Sebring without A/C would be brutal and the roof vent would allow a bit more air into the cabin. If you're not planning on tracking the car....why bother?

During off-road adventures you can use the vent as an extra air intake for the cabin, keeping the normal a/c vents closed and the windows up to prevent dust from getting in. As its up higher it won't take it in as easily, and it helps pressurize the interior in a way. But water splashes don't seem to help.

Franklin: TTIWWOP = This thread is worthless with out pictures.

To JonWRX: Not so current picture of the car, but close enough. I'm just afraid I might have to get the STi hood scoop afterwards... but we'll see how it looks. But if all else fails, I can pull out the old saying "Screw you guys, its my car."

Talked with my body shoppe guy today, and if all goes well it should be all said and done by the end of next week. Will get a better feel for it on Monday when I get the roof scoop.

I definately would have got the hood scoop first, it actually can benefit the car and costs less. Is this the Spec-c Roof scoop?

Correct. I really don't want the STi hood scoop, too darn big... my water sprayer setup will eliminate the need for a monster scoop, anyways. That, and I'm still not entirely convinced having a bigger scoop with the same sized splitter will add any benefit.

Well at least it will fold back down to a more stock positon. The STI scoop added more of a benefit for me, less heat soak, better IC airflow, and style. Even if you have a sprayer, it is not functioning all of the time.
