Found this today while installing a turbo timer in my car:




Didn't mess with it because the car runs fine...just wondering what the FUCK the previous owner did?

does your check engine light light up when you strart the car?

some one cut that wire on mine. but i fixed it.

 

It might have been a Nav System. The yellow and Black is the Speedo line that is used in NAV systems to tell you speed. I know that's the speedo line for sure so it had to be something that monitored the speed...

There are some inconspicuous wires underneath the back seat that run somehwere in the passenger side area of the trunk....

Everything functions as it should, including the CEL.

 

I'll see if I can get the pin-outs on that ECU to find out what the hell it is. holy shit dude, what did he do!?!?

 

pin outs are on the ecu.

 

thats retarded, maybe he hooked the air fuel up there or was trying to tap in his remote wire from his amp to the ecu

 

What turbo timer do you have?

I ask this because I have the GReddy Full-Auto Turbo timer. Upon installation and going by my buddies cue to rip open the ECU as per his HKS turbo timer, I actually later found out that the GReddy that I have simply goes by ignition signal. It also reads rpms and voltage this way.

Why don't you all just buy the blitz fattII turbo timer with the WRX harness? It plugs right into the ignition harness and call it a day. Took me 10 minutes to install.
