ok, but you will have to get my mind right so i can concentrate j/k! Seriously though, pm me. I can swing by tomorrow. All you have to do is remove the plastic case around the steering colomn and remove the bottom panel that your knees would hit if you slide the seat all the way forward. After that, It's the blue harness clips near the ignition with the yellow wire wrapping. You just pull them apart and plug one end of the TT in the clip closest to the ignition and the other one in the other clip, It's just like a relay between the original two harnes clips.

No, I didn't have any connectors with me at the time. Once I figure out what the hell happened I'll clean 'em up good like.

I also have the GReddy turbo timer. It goes off of the yellow/green speed signal wire. ( may have used the wrong green/yellow wire, though (used the thick one directly above where the effed up wires go into the ECU).

I'll install it for ya faded, no problem. I'll be back in town Monday

There is what appears to be a resistor inside the heat shrink between the purple and blue wires in the picture. I'm going to guess if you track down the ECU wiring diagram that is going to be the lead for the EGT probe or rear O2 sensor. I've never seen or heard of anyone installing a resistor near the ECU like that but the logic might of been to keep the elements out. I'd take a look and see if the factory EGT probe is still installed in the uppipe and still connected.

These might help:

I also have multiple sets of factory manuals that cover things from '02 to '05.

wow that sucks I wonder why there is a resistor in that wire?

I'd put couple bucks on a failed EGT proble or one that kept backing out and was removed. Both situations are very-very-very common. The EGT probe is only there to prevent a total meltdown of the factory uppipe cat. The forced induction Subaru's that don't have an uppipe (2.5L STi, Forester XT, not sure about the LGT) don't have the EGT sensor.

The other good guess is rear O2 sensor "fix", which is common for anyone with an aftermarket exhaust.

The wire for the front O2 sensor is still plugged into the O2 sensor, which is in place.

If it was a CEL fix for the rear O2 sensor, it was a failed attempt.... Took out the oxygen sensor today and found there is a hole burned through the top -- switch sensor with my dad's '05 WRX for our long trip tonight and tomorrow.
