Default Slow STi's???
Whats up with all the STi's running slow A guy in Mitsu Tech compared a STi to his 96 TSi FWD cuz they both ran low 14's!! Just wondering if you guys are not getting enough seat tme or what

yeah a while ago with just a downpipe and cat back I was running 14.2's and so were the STi's. They really couldnt drive! The launch is the hardest part.

its in the driving. the STi is a very hard car to drive. i still dont have it fully down. my best to date is 13.2@102 with a 1.9 60ft. if i can drop the 60ft just a little more, it will hit 12s.

Some people daily drive theirs and don't want to break them. And it's definitely not an easy car to drag race.

I dont see whats so hard really about driving a car with a nearly bullet proof drivetrain. DSM's are far from bullet proof and people dont have problems driving those. I do understand why someone wouldnt want to beat their dailly driver but if you take it to the track you should just go balls to the wall and see what the car is capable of.

I do understand why someone wouldnt want to beat their dailly driver but if you take it to the track you should just go balls to the wall and see what the car is capable of.
Ultimately, what's the point? It's been proven many times that a stock STI can do at least 13.2.

I mean, if people want to set a personal driving goal to get their STI to do 13.2, so be it, but there's really nothing to be proven anymore.
