Perrin inlet hose??
We're still talking about the Perrin Turbo Inlet pipe, right?
LOL....
LOL....
i have one coming tomorrow....
the whole idea (as aforementioned) is to reduce the pre-turbo turbulence as much as possible ..........
who can help me w/ the install??
maybe we can incorporate it into sunday's affairs.....
813_05_STi....you able to shed any light on this, and the easiest way to hack/remove the oem unit (i am not wanting to touch the intake mani!)

I'm doing the same thing tomorrow with a Samco unit. The one I have on right now is shredded from the hose clamp being loosened and tightened too many times (too many turbo swaps). It's is a bitch, especially with a TMIC but can be done.
esemes: If you want to swing by my place we can do yours as well. Give me a call.

There is not much difference. The Samco is 6-ply and the Perrin is 4-ply silicone. Just be careful with the hose clamps, mine shredded my Samco from tightening too many times. I have heard the Perrin is a little easier to install but all turbo inlet hoses are a bitch.
4 VS 6 is really a tough arguement...
the perrin unit has the fittings relocated so as to NOT need the intake mani to be removed, loosened, etc....
the same is not said of the samco unit (but i have no proof that either are easier than the other, really....
per the perrin instructions, theirs takes 45 minutes to install (instead of the 4-5 hours per the other oem types)
per my experiences, 45 minutes ~ 4-5 hours anyway (versus 11-14 hours for the other...)lol....not funny....lol
