heatwrapped downpipe. STi not happy
This issue has nothing to do with a wrapped downpipe my g0d, Wrapping the d/p on a wrx - sti lowers the under hood temps, keep's the top mount from heat soaking. hunderds of scooby owners have wrapped down pipes, keeping the d/p wrapped also raises the velocity of the exhaust flow.
Im sorry to dissapoint some of you, but if you have a top mount intercooler and dont wrap your d.p your going to bake the IC pvoven fact time and time again. Engine temps can make and break performance of any engine.
I think you got taken behind the wood shead and are feeling the spliners of dads wooden paddle. or you paid alot of $$ for a piggyback and possibly poor tuning. And i have never heard of play in a wastegate before this is new to me and i have played with them for years. wastegate problems often lead to over boosting so im going to rule that one out on this however.
DISCLAMIER- I have no opinion on masrto other than ecutec not what i am looking for in a managment set up, i do not know for fact that anything said about the tuning is to be true or flase. but there is alot of negativity about the tuning both local and on this forum. Just something to consider cavy...

813, i see you are interested in a gt30R. Are you looking into a bolt-on SBR unit or another? I'm interested in one for my EJ20 so if you find any good info, i'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to find how much lag a gt-11 or -12 would have with a 2.0L running around 20psi. Best of luck with your setup.
