EBC Pads and Rotors?

Well, it's finally getting time to replace the stock brakes that came with the car 2 years ago. I've heard good things about EBC pads in the past, but I don't have any personal experience with them and really haven't heard anything about their rotors.
So, anyone have any input? I'm most likely going to get the Green pads since I'm worried about excessive brake dust and squeeling on the street with the Reds. What do you guys think?

So you'll finally be able to stop that beast. It's about time!

The general consensus with Subaru owners is to stay far away from the EBC stuff. I know several people experimented with the green and red pads all with disapointing results but YMMV. Also worth noting is that both cases the rotors needed replacement after using the EBC pads.
I had honestly had ourstanding results with on my '02 using the following setup, OEM rotors, AXXIS Ultimates pads, Goodridge Brake Lines and of course high performance fluid. I also added a set speed bleeders to the mix to make my life a little easier. I also experiemented with the AXXIS Metal Masters which where also good.
The downside to the AXXIS "Ultimates" was that they have a very strong initial bite making it a bit more difficult to modulate the brakes on a course but they held up with mild track use really well. The AXXIS "Metal Masters" didn't have this initial bite tendency but they aren't as hardcode but a good candiate for street/Solo II use. The both dusted quite a bit compared to the OEM pads but with no noise.
I don't see any good reason to upgrade the rotors unless you're looking for some bling factor. If they need replacing I found a website using google.com that sells OEM rotors and the the WRX rotors are suprisingly inexpensive.
Good luck!

stay away from EBC! the pads are crap, not sure of the rotors though. my brother had a set of the greenstuff's on his car and they tore up his rotors & the pad themselves did not live a very long life.
i have hawk hps pads on the front & love 'em but they do dust a lot
my current brake set up is the hawks up front, OEM pads out back (soon to be replaced with axxis ultimates), stock rotors, & some valvoline brake fluid & they work great!
if you want a good pad that doesn't dust much, take a look at the carbotech bobcats, they run around $100 though so are a bit pricey...
as far as rotors go, i'd pick up some brembo replacements as they are fairly cheap and better than OEM.
whatever you do stay away from the EBC stuff!

one of the compact sports maganizes showed Hawks outperforming the stock subaru pads above 40mph.
The stock ones performed better at lower speeds ( under 40)... but the hawks showed more resistence to fade at higher speeds.
The f-body community is split on EBC green stuff pads.. some dont like them at all some do... I didnt buy them. Hear to many good things about Napa ceramics and Hawks..
They also tested the Subaru with brake upgrade packages in the 2-3 thousand dollar range. They were all just barely better than the stock ones.. The "stoptechs" were the best but still not worth the cash.. "stoptechs" were the cheapest too out of the bunch...
I dont remember the others.

I had EBC pads on my car, in fact, i still do in the rear... i used to have them on the front with stock calipers, and honestly, the braking was significantly better as well as fade resistance
i dig em, and i had whitline cool groove rotors on there too.. shitty rotors, but not much rotor damage, they were just junk!
