hey shit head, why dont you read the post completely, you must have skimmed the "this isnt meant to piss people off, just curious part" and obviously you didnt read the part about me buying good parts in the past, but when one does the same thing why spend that much more. its a simple discussion but i guess you had to be the dick that couldnt be constructive

the car was never tuned 100%, best dyno was 263hp/211tq at 8 psi, 100% discharge greddy Type R BOV

the 252 dyno is where it sat normally, but you can see how fat the AF was. with cam gear and full AF tuning i think it would have made low 270s. 100% stock internals

a perfect example of my car in retrospect to the topic. i did the engine management correctly for the turbo, unlike the 1/2 assed V/SAFC or FMU, i went with a standalone. I choose hondata, which was $600 vs a haltech which would have done the exact same job but would have cost twice as much. This is what im trying to express.

i was just joking... i have all kinds of APS shit... dont ask me why... i just started to like it, the construction is mainly what caught my eye... supposedly way overbuilt, and for me, overbuilt is a good thing..

alot of the guys on the older WRXs ran SAFC/AVCR well into the 400 whp range.
Which would you rather have, given a choice without budget as a worry? I'm telling you that the EcuTek reflash is so crisp and clean, there's no reason not to spend the money in my estimation. When I see Formula One abandoning sophisticated electronics for SAFCs, I'll buy one.

With a car making power on the level of Enthalpy's, I'd take the huge plunge and go Motec with their optional datalogging, digital dash assembly. With that much time, not to mention money, wrapped up in an engine, why screw around with piggy backs? Hell man, I'd love to be running Motec management right now and I'm at 200 less whp than he is!
