theres no reason to back you up on the rear wheel drive debate since ITS NOT REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

here how about a picture of a 85 celica engine bay (sorry to the owner of this car on my forum but it's the cleanest one)

Now how the hell do you attempt to say that is a FWD engine? first of all look at where the strut towers are how do you plan to get CV axles to go 3 feet forward to where the front wheels are? seeing as there halfway up the length of the engine.

The first celica to ever be made FWD was made in 08/1985 for the 1986 model year. look at the second sentence of the 4th gen in the Toyota celica wikipedia.

Toyota Celica - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

no 20R/22R/22RE/22RTE has EVER been FWD....EVER unless it was a really weird mod since no FWD transmission fits it. If it were FWD the engine would sit SIDEWAYS (excluding a few wacky saabs and Cadillacs)

also. i have a problem with my 83 celica gt. the back tires are wearing out and balding. do you think it's because my fwd is f*cked?

let me know!
Shad dont mess with em. you own a 3rd gen celica (not to mentiopn being a member of our forum) and you know as well as I do that the 3rd gen supra rear k frame and suspension will drop right into a 3rd gen celica gts because there the same exact car from the firewall back. only difference is the front because the couldn't stuff the inline 6 into our engine bays.

and if you layed off the gas your rear tires would last longer. but all of us with RWD celicas have that issue.

just messing around.

buddy that is selling the celica. I personally have a 1983 Celica GT and it is infact, after looking under the car and figuring out why my rear tires are wearing out, that it is a RWD.

this is my celica in action: YouTube - Toyota Celica 1983 Burnout

fwd for the win y0!
