Um sorry to burst your sales bubble there bro, but every celica made before the 1986 model year was rear wheel drive. There's a whole forum of guys laughing at you now that own these cars since we saw this. myself included owning a 85 which is RWD.

Plus you might want to check whether it's a gt gts or an st because 2 of them are solid rear axle and one is independent like a supra.

(since he's already giving wrong info on the driveline I'd suggest any buyers to check the rear suspension type before buying)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Misery is right.. about both things..

ok a few things that might be useful to you are this...
as Misery mentioned it could be a gts.. but the 82/83
GTS was badged as a GT, GTS badging only came in
on the 84/85 models, the 82/83 celica had a GT (no
fender flares and SRA diff) while there was a GT with a
sports package (GTS) which had Fender flares and IRS
which is the same diff as the supras diff.. as misery had
mentioned...

also... pics?? always helps a sale

WTF?!!!

toyota made ALL their toyota celica's FWD in 1982-1985. it was ONLY the supra's that were RWD.

also. i have a problem with my 83 celica gt. the back tires are wearing out and balding. do you think it's because my fwd is f*cked?

let me know!!!

as soon as celis started running 5sfe's/3sg's and came with the "ST-***" chassis code they were FWD and stayed that way, unless you got a GT4 or alltrac version, they were still transverse engine though, think mitsu evo.

RA64's and earlier were rear drive.
