Well i really think you need to ask GOOGLE and figure out what's best for you.
" welded diff " for a daily drive car.......NOT the best option in my opinion.

$ 100 for the 5 hole J30 no axels diff + free open diff 240sx

he doesnt want your vlsd get over it.

ivan is rocking a welded diff in his ka-t that runs 8s.

just weld it. 15s you can find at tire kingdom for nothing.

if i had a choice, i would swap my vlsd out for a welded, but i dont have a job, and i dont feel like swapping diffs again. its gay

You may be right about him not wanting the J30 diff , But I guess ppl weld their diff because they can't afford a vlsd or because their cars are only for drifting or drag racing , in that case sure a welded diff will work fine , I never say it doesn't , I said that a welded diff is NOT for a " comfortable " Daily driven vehicle.

Oh by the way .......... I still have the J30 diff for only $ 100 !!!

I have a 180sx Vlsd w/ the 4.3 Gearing and I swapped it out for a welded to play around in. So dont say that its because people cant afford it a vlsd; its just more fun and predictable for drifting..although I will say it sucks for daily driving. (but reply to the person trying to buy a welded diff: make sure the welder is good, bad welds crack and can make for a bad situation).. *I rep Ranlet for the best welded diff Ive ever driven.

Shops that can weld a diff:
Central automotive - Sean, Josh or someone else
XAT - Chris or Martin
SNR performance -Mike Ranlet

Kyle- Diff swaps are easy for people who ARENT lazy. lol

Like i said for drifting only or drag a welded diff will be fine , so i was wrong about ppl not able to afford one , I guess is all about personal likes.

With the axels it will be 90% bolt on , the other 10% you only need to swap the rear cover of your stock diff to the J30 one.

If i find the axels i will sell it for $200

the 5 bolt J30 diffs are older anyway and will have more miles on it.
6 bolt are bolt on but like 240brisx said you'll need to swap the cover.

but this guy is looking for a welded diff. so back on thread topic. TTT Good luck with the search..

Blake - That diff you claim to have wouldnt be the diff w/o the shafts that I gave golfie that you promised to have welded for him would it?
