O no, SR20DET is no good, you have to have a KA24DET...it's just sooooo much better why would anyone want an SR20? Am I remembering correctly...that is what you told me is it not?

You're insane. You're going to have to save up more for even just the motor. Then add in everything else you would need to get... Not even close to your price range.

you will not find a reliable sr20 for 1500. maybe just the block but then you would still need $500-1000 in parts to get it running.

Good luck finding anything if your budget is $1500.
You are safely going to spend around $2000+ for a decent clip and or motorset

yea its going to cost you about 2000-2500 for a motorset or clip then its going to cost like 3000 for all the extra parts....clutch, fmic, bov, downpipe, motor mounts...etc

ka turbo would cost about as much as a good motor

1500 for a clean SR20(In 98 maybe)? That is insulting. I paid 2400 dollars for mines from phase2motortrend (and that is becuase i got a 100 dollar discount for preordering before the container arrived!), sure you can find a bare motorset for around 1500 , that will probably be ragged out , missing a MAF sensor , SMIC+stock sr radiator, and definetely a ignitor chip $$$$ , e.t.c. Add up all the parts required for a SR swap and you will clearly see that it is not a inexpensive swap. It's a pay to play game , if you want to play , you have to pay , their are no workarounds.
