if you have a checking acct try getting a personal loan for 1-2k your payment could be as low as $20 a month and will prolly get you swapped and driving, and holy shit a credit boost too.

I thought you all would've figured out that Superkoskiskanisn is very ignorant...yeah generally stupid...person.

I'd say your best shot is to finance it through a credit card, like ImPhucked said, or ask for a loan from the bank.
Getting a SR motor set for $1,500 is almost impossible. If you do so happen to get lucky and find one, most likely its a beat down motor w/o a harness. As everyone said, you need to save at least $1,000 for tuning, new clutch, etc.

If you cant afford the swap, just save up the money, and keep it in a cookie jar until you have enough.

my motor was spotless, and runs perfect. and i didnt pay 1500.

+1

Having the money on hand, knowing what to look for, having great friends, relentlessly searching, and not being a douchebag. That's how you do it.

for an inexperienced driver i will give it a week after you install and have a SR20DeT running before A. you die, B. you blow it up, C. hit boost in reverse and smack some old lady
also check ebay one more time

CA18 is cheap...but going from one problematic motor to another doesnt seem like a wise choice. i can find you a SR20DE FWD for that price..or maybe a blown RWD SR20DET w/ 200k miles, no turbine, no harness..and automatic

heh..just rebuild your KA24DE and it will be good..
SR20DET will require much more maintainence than your NA KA24..as with all turbocharged cars..

if you can show us that you can maintain you KA24..and keep it running in optimum condition..then maybe you can handle a turbocharged motor..

good luck man..you're gonna need it..peace bro

^ Give me a reason why he would look for a FWD SR for his S13?
Finding a SR with 200k miles... yeah right, good luck finding one on the market. Arent all SR exported out of japan after 60k miles???
Why cant he just get a S14 KA instead of rebuilding his S13ka? It will save him hundreds if he just swap a used motor.
I dont really see anything wrong with CA motors. Yeah they are pretty old, but they are still good, very strong motors. CA motors go for like what...$800 w/tranny/ecu/etc. And installation is like another $800 on top of that, so that should be around his budget, but still more than $1k less than a SR swap.
I might think about building a S13 track car with CA motor in several more months, or when money is plenty to fund one.
