HELP car died and now wont start HELP
I WASNT IN THE CAR>
My dad was driving up hill and the car dies on him. he started to go down hill and he tried to pop the clutch and still nothing.
I tried pushing and and having my friend pop the clutch nothing
i tried jumping the car with cables and still nothing.
I jiggled the wires connected to the started and stil nothing, HOWEVER whe i was jiggling the wires and my fiend turn the key to start it i could feel the starter clicking.
when i turn key all light come on and stay on. when i try and start the car all lights still stay on.
Car did not crank
the car never has just the battery light on only.
could it be the dizzy??
any fuses?
MY MAIN QUESTION IS...
.... WHY WOULD THE CAR JUST STOP RINNING AND EVERYTHING TURN OFF? LIGHTS AND ALL
Any advice?
thanks

u could use a a flat head or a wire but jus touch both starter ground and the metal part of plug with something metal while ur ignition is turned to second it'll juice up ur starter to run the car if ur starter is the problem that's wut im doin my starter gave out on me couple days ago
ok...break the situation down
you basically have three issues that you know about.
possibly caused by the same problem
1.) the car died= something missing from fuel, spark, timing
2.) the car won't crank= power, ground, or signal missing or failed starter
3.)the car will not push start= probably the same as #1
so considering that the three issues all came along at the same time, most likely caiused by the same single problem.
the easiest to diag is the starter issue...the starter doesn't have anything to do with the PCM, the main relay, the fuel pump, the distributor or alot of the things that the running issue could be.
you said that the dash lights come on when you turn the key to the on position...so power is arriving at the ignition switch
the starter has two wires going to it....the power from the battery and the signal wire from the ignition switch
now, the power wire comes straight from the battery (even if you relocated it)
the signal wire comes from the ignition switch.
the fact that the starter clicks means that the signal is getting to the starter.
so the issue is the power to the starter or the ground to the starter.
but there is no ground wire to the starter....right?
the ground path for the starter runs from the body of the car to the engine...hey. the distributor and the pcm are grounded to the motor too....maybe that is where you need to start looking

dizzzy could of gone bad?
or main relay?
this is so confusing
