Finished the down pipe today, it has a v-band on the end of it now - it also has three O2 bungs - 1 for a wideband and the other 2 in case I want to run EFI - and the wastegate now dumps into it..... It ends just before the firewall, pointin towards the opening right beside the trans bell housing..... From there the exhaust will go back down the driverside of the car when I get it made.....

Unfortunately I couldn't get it to go in and out with everything else is in place like I wanted it to...... But if I take the radiator out it will slide in and out with everthing else in place, so that's not to bad.....

Here are some pic's.....

The oil filter is a little close to the downpipe, but not too bad..... It has more then a 1/4" of clearance right at the top corner, that's the closest it gets..... I can always go with a little shorter filter, but I think it should be fine like it is(all the hotside will be thermal coated).....

A couple pic's of the space between it and the filter.....

And here are a couple pic's with the rest of the turbo and radiator in place..... Everthing else has real good clearance so far.....

Baller!

The only thing that gives me pause with the fabrication work is the angle bend on the firewall side exhaust tubing... But, after looking at the pics it appears you didn't have much room to work with.

I can't wait to see some numbers..... feel like making a second kit? lol

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but every angle has a radious leading into it..... If you are talking about the angle it points, it's that way because it has to go around the steering shaft and it is pointed toward the opening between the trans tunnel and bell housing..... From that v-band flange another pipe will continue back under the car going to the muffler.....

Part of the shop cleaning yesterday was to get rid of the 88 t-bird motor I recently got, to make room for the new one I picked up yesterday..... I got ahold of a low mileage 5.0 HO out of a 90 GT(approx 35,000 miles)..... It has such low mileage because it was pulled out of the car when it was only a couple years old, and has been stored for the last 15 years or so..... About the only thing missing was the balancer which was robbed off it somewhere along the way..... All the EFI harnesses except for the O2 harness were still attached to it, and all the accessories except the alt were also there..... This thing still has the OEM plug wires, and the plug wire looms aren't even broken.....

I took it down to the shortblock this morning, and it is spotless inside.....

I am going to put this thing back together and put it in the car, and put the boost to it..... the only things I am going to add is a new timing chain set because it's a little loose, some head studs and good gaskets.....

Some pic's of after I picked it up and through the tear down.....
