Alright motherfuckers, some MUCH NEEDED updates.
I know, I know, I've been slacking hardcore.
Let's see. I don't remember where I left off. I've run in to some financial speed bumps here and there, so I've been doing as much work as I can with the parts I have, which I guess is A LOT.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Got a torque wrench and got the flywheel and clutch on with ARP hardware.

Temporarily installed a spare LS tranny so I can get everything mocked up until I can get my GSR rebuilt.

The front lower cross member was already hacked up from the previous owner so I said to hell with it and cut it out. Plan is to weld back in beam though for rigidity purposes.

FINALLY, the motor is in. Through the front/bottom and the help of two floor jacks. Talk about garage built. Haha. Full race traction bar installed too.

In this and the last pic, you can see my new daily driver. '01 Sedona Red Pearl 2.5RS Impreza Coupe. That'll be getting an STi swap as soon as this car is on its own feet.

Rebuilt the steering rack with the Quaife quick ratio rack and pinion. Went from 4.xx turns to 2.82 turns lock to lock. Can't wait to see how this baby handles. Replaced everything from...

.... the rack end bushing...

...to a brand new dust seal for the pinion, new inner tie rods, new washers, new jamb nuts, even new boot bands and clips.

Just a little red sticker massacre.

Put in the ITB's so I could get my fuel lines mocked up. Wow, was this a huge source of motivation!

Some WOT action. My god, sitting in the seat and looking down seeing right into the combustion chamber is a great feeling.

Here's the fuel feed line with Earl's inline filter. Don't worry, it will all be secured to the firewall with adel clamps.

Fuel return line.

Expect the thread to be updated regularly. I plan to work on this as much as possible, including every day this week, until it is running.
