Wish I had enough cash!

How does it compare to the lude I sold your bro?.. That supposedly had the Type S swap in it and I'm just curious how they compare against each other.

ummm... i have only driven my brothers prelude the night that we test drove it. and even then i didnt really get on it and my brother babies it. im sure we will test the differences by his prelude needs a tune or at least a new base map to show more potential from his motor. and mine is completely stock. i would prefer have his transmission set up. dont know if i am fond of hondas decision to put the atts unit in the type-s rather then the m2b4 with lsd.

well... the body filler is getting close to being at its final stage prior to primer. i have a few small spots to touch up and sand. then it will be ready for the final sanding with 400 grit and then onto the priming.
full engine bay shot (as requested):

passenger side:

driver side:

its really starting to smooth out nicely.

more tomorrow hopefully....

alright... time to install the now shrouds on the headlights since my old ones failed.
got the headlights apart.

as you can see my home made shroud trim didnt hold up to the heat. the plastic ended up melting a bit causing shrinkage and separation. one of them was floating in the headlight.

here is a comparison of the warped old shrouds and the new ones which are actually meant for a headlight shroud. i am still keeping the oven drop pan portion of the shroud to conceal the housing.

because of the difference in size and shape of the shroud trim i am having to modify the internal trim of the headlight to allow proper fitment. i used a marker to mark out where i needed to trim back. all of this is done gradually in order to not shave to much away and the measurements are all taken by eye.

i completed the shaving of the internal headlight trim but i need to get some silicon caulk to re-seal the headlights and reassemble them. i will include pics of the finished product within the next few days.

i also got a package from fedex today....
my 2 part sand-able, non-sag seam sealer. (Lord Fusor 123EZ).

alright so a large, wonderful package came in with the fedex guy today. so it is finally in my possession and it is a glorious feeling.

i also finished sealing and reassembling my headlights... all done just waiting for the silicon to dry.

thanks! superior auto body in st pete off 49th near park blvd. they were the ones who painted the exterior and they did an amazing job. their quality, customer service and level of professionalism is above and beyond. their pricing reflects there work but it is worth it. they will be painting the bumper and the bay.
