I wonder would it be cheaper to pieceout a turbo kit rather than just get a cheap one but not very big kit like a greddy for example? i will explain my self...my friend in Jacksonville is thinking of buying a greddy kit,He just bought a civic VX and also bought a 98 LS motor he is doing the swap next month but he wanna run 12.9 while remaining daily driver(work to home to Orlando to the grocerie store)Realiable plus a/c... i dont know how much is for the greddy kit but i told him to buy a big t3t4e an INLINE PRO manifold, big intercooler,deltagate or tial wastegate (right there is like 1500 dollars)everything else is minor but he will defenitly will run easy 12.50 and he will never have to upgrade the kit...Itold him to run a XS manual boost controller(first stage 2 pounds-2nd stage 11 pounds)so he can save gas around town and dont put a lot of stress in the motor when just driving home. with that set up also he will run 250 to 270whp beside the greddy on the ls that only will run 190 to 220. please correct me if i'm wrong. oh i think with the greddy kit he will only run 13.50s. what u think?!

I think depends on allot of things. Do you want a quick spooling turbo (I want a little lag on the street)? You can put together your own kit once you know what you want. Here are some regular prices.

* Garrett T3/T04E 57 trim .60 A/R compressor .48 A/R turbine stage 3 wheel $549.00 (Cheap Turbo)
* TiAL 35mm wastategate with 6.5lb spring $199.00 (Import Parts)
* TiAL 50mm blowoff valve $200.00 (Darkside Racing)
* PWR 8x20x3 intercooler with end tanks $440.00 (This guy Earl. I forget what company he is with)
* Oil feed and return lines $187.55 (Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies)
* Intercooler 2.25" pipes $250.00-+
* Inline Pro manifold $500.00

Then you need a few misc flanges which range from $8.00-$20.00. That all comes out to $2325.55 for a bad ass kit.
