I was going to put forged internals before the turbo but i got into a big money problem so im going to do a couple of things and then throw the turbo on at 6psi till I can afford the forged internals or something happens to them
p.s. don't waste any money on a vafc. Some of the very first things you should purchase,(potentially save you thousands overall) should be engine management, injectors, and a fuel pump & fpr.
I did the same as you 4 yrs ago, just put on the kit and rode out. Trust me, you'll want to turn the boost up. And up. And up. And...... UP.
I've been through more fuel setups than I can remember and all I ever needed is what I finally have.
Hondata, 450's, 255-intank. Don't even waste money on a missing link. Buy an EMS and fuel products first, before the turbo kit.
Hondata and uberdata can both be purchased with boost options that can be on or off and tuned.
Look in my gallery to find a recent dyno from XAT, this dyno was accomplished by doing a nearly blind tune on the Hondata. Pretty impressive where it sits. But that will soon change. Shortly I'll be using 100% duty cycle on those 450's as opposed to the current 60%. Should put me over 300. Then I'm sure I'll, yet again, be upgrading the fuel system, and likely, the turbo.
Good luck in your journey towards becoming a D-series turbo ninja.

yo juan my friends car made 220 with stock internals and it held up to 12 psi every day driven trust me my friend did it in his D16
he had it working right for about 6 months until he started shooting up nitrous.....the 75 shot blew it up in 3 runs then he went to forged internals, and now he is boosting 20 psi and 55 shot it worksout good he makes 600whp right now hes almost beating my camaro.... is sai..
