Yeah, you're right. I'm just tired of this little boy's bullshit.

But I hung around the back shop, not the waiting room. Why would i go there three days on a row to hang in the fuclign waiting room?

They gave me a mask so I was in the booth too. The painter was one smooth motherfucker. About 45 to 50 years old I would guess.

His arm just kinda glided over the car as he did his work. Some of the time he looked like a slow motion, dancing robot. it was cool to watch him work.

Not really. You're just starting to bore me.

Did you ever find where I said I got a $2000 paint job for $750?

No, of course you didn't. Why? Because I never said it.

Basically it boils down to this.

You spent three days baby-sitting. I assure you everyone did a better job simply because you were there.

How boring is your life that you are able to spend three days doing nothing other than sitting around watching other people work?

I don't have a clue what you do or how much you make but I know if I had three days of vacation time/paid time off/sick leave etc. that I would not even remotely think about sitting around a body shop watching some UTI drop-outs trying to prove they have more brains than the dust on the shop floor.

Realistically I wouldn't be willing to stand around for anything less than $150 a day. You may be different.

Now YES there may not be any overspray anywhere, but I assure you that they did not do the same job of prepping your car that I or any of the handful of quality painters on this site would have done. Hell simply sanding the car with a DA would have taken half the day to do properly. Then there are all kinds of edges, grooves, and areas around seals that require extra attention to make sure they are scuffed well.

Do you know what happens to areas that don't get scuffed well? At first nothing. They look good for a while. Then the paint starts to lift, water gets under the paint, a crack appears, the water seeps further under the paint, and before you know it you have spots all over your car where your nice new paint job isn't so nice any more because the paint is coming off.

Will it happen? Maybe, maybe not. No way to tell until it happens at this point. But add in the fact that you have a cheaper quality paint stacked on top of poor/quickly done prep work and it just basically seems inevitable.

If Sherwin-Williams was as good as a paint as you say it is, it would not need to be talked up. Good paint speaks for itself.

Sorry about your luck.

this is a guy that thinks since he was there for a paint job watching it done that he knows the in's and out's.

and by the way, my whole family was painters, sherwin williams paint is the crap even painting houses, if you want a good grade of paint everyone knows that Benjamin Moore paint is alot better,.

when ever you want to bring it to a real shop that does real work you let me know, i could use a thousand bucks,.
and then for all you shit talking you will have spent almost $1800 for a crap ass job,.
now who is the fool.
