Video is cool and everything, but this is closer to a drifting "wet dream":

see, that stuff is awesome and all, but it is still just a "simple slide" can I do it? nope. can the average joe do it, hell no. I'm not saying it doesn't take some skill to be able to slide like that, and even more skill to do it tandem, but once you got it, you got it.
I think that's why drifting hasn't really ever appealed to me much. To me, I see those kinds of slides as the same stuff my grandfather used to do in his muscle cars. raise the cars off of their tow hooks and remove the show off ricer stuff and all you're left with is a few power slides strung together.
To me at least, I'd put the skill and talent involved in the first video leap years ahead of the second video.

EDIT: feel like I should add, I'm not trying to degrade drifting or anything like that. The few that take it seriously and treat it like a real motorsport and not the punkass kids fucking around with crappy cars, have amazing talent and skill. I know I couldn't go door to door with any of those guys. I personally think the "style" is what is holding drifting back so much, but that will evolve with time too.
