Default brake upgrade

looking to upgrade from my stock '89 calipers to 300z tt calipers.
I'm seeing alot about a adapter fitting for the lines, anything else I should know?

Also, anyone know a good set of slotted (not crossdrilled) rotors for 4-lug?
LMK team...

I have upgraded the stock brakes on my 92 240sx to the TT calipers and rotors...I had no problems except I needed a 1/4 spacer so the caliper didn't hit the inside of the rim...you may also need longer studs after adding the 1/4in spacer....

you can also upgrade to infinity Q45 brakes, it is a big two piston caliper and the rotor is 1.5 inches bigger than the 300zx rotor. it is also cheaper to do and fits the same as the z32. just some info if you hadnt bought anything yet.

ya they are bad ass, i have them on my car and they work awesome. you can use 97 or 98 Q45 brakes, i am not sure if you can use beyond those years, but it is a large 2 piston caliper with a 11.6 inch rotor. a 300zx rotor is 10.1 inch. i paid $50 for used calipers, $140 for new rotors, and $40 for new pads. A nice brake upgrade for $230.

I'm not sure about how the Q45 brakes bolt up, but the TT calipers bolt right on the stock 240. but the Z rotors are 5 lug so the rotor will need to be redrilled in the four lug pattern, unless you already have 5 lugs...

oh and john, i know for the s14s all you have to do is drill a bigger hole in the spindle for the larger bolts for the caliper, then they bolt right on, they are a 5 hole rotor so nothing else will have to be done, you can still do it to a 4 lug car, just take the rotor to a machine shop.

either way you go Q45 or 300TT brakes will be a large improvement over your stock set up...

RHD180sx, the Q45 will work on a S14 or S13. the spindle is all that has to be modified, unless the rotor needs to be drilled for a 4 lug car. believe it or not i found out about the Q45 brakes from a guy who drove a 4 lug S13. he had them on his car
