Sr20det starter noise

Just started today when i start it it has a slight squeal or some noise i cant determine it but it only happens when starting. Any ideas

Solenoid or maybe a bad motor

probably the motor going bad... if it is actually the starter. I can't think of anything else that would really sound like a whining motor... maybe the alternator doing something really weird?

How would it bw my motor? Its no where near the sound of a rod knock sounds more like a chicken squak and it starts a little sliggish? Has to be the starter not disenguageing slightly taping the fly wheel idk

motor... as in the electic motor that is a major part of the starter...

not motor as in your engine.
