Default 91 240sx weird wiper problem

I started my car this morning and all of a sudden the wipers came on and would not shut off even when the switch was in the off position. Then randomly when I got on the interstate, they quit and went in the park position. Then I drove the car to lunch and it was acting up again. Just as I was parking they quit wiping and went in the park position again. At work now so haven't looked at it again yet. Anyone heard of this and knows the cause? I'm thinking bad wiper switch...

Well it quit doing it on its own, but still would like to know what was causing this in case it starts acting up again...

The switch is more than likely bad.
I'd start there.

I cant tell for sure due to the factory diagrams for the circuits sucking, since nissan likes to use "amps" for shit, but *most* wiper setups actually apply power to "park" the motor, and often if they wont shut off its a fault in the wiper motor unit itself.

I wouldnt be after the switch first in this case, more like either the amp, or the motor.

If your car is lowered check the driver side fender wiring harness. I had the same problem. My tire chewed into the wiring harness and everytime i hit a bump or turned to the left my Wipers would turn on by themself. Even with the switch in the off position.
