sr20det transmission grinding problem need help!!!
ok so i got this car and i needed to replace the rear trans seal so i took off the driveshaft but i didnt know that you were supposed to mark it first but when i put the seal in and the driveshaft i started the car and the motor runs fine and it went into gear fine as normal well when i was going to back up when i was releasing the clutch the car started to roll back and the car just grinds and stops moving... the whole shifter shakes and its a loud grinding noise.. it sounds like its the transmission. well the throwout bearing was bad to so i replaced the throwout bearing with a ka tob from a friend for free and it worked for like a day and then it grinded again... a frined told me to repace my master and slave so i did and its still grinding.. so next i bought a used transmission from someone in tampa and it worked for about 20 mins and then it grinded again.. so i got an sr throwout bearing and i put that in and it worked for a day and it grinded again... so now im stuck and i dont know what it is.. also by the seal the trans part is all grinded up cause i think the driveshaft and that hit... i think motor mount could be bad cause the motor moves a lot..
the clutch is a spec stage 2 and it looks brand new.. the flywheel ahad some dings in it so i got is resurfaced and it still didnt help
any help will be appreciated!!!

i bet your carrier bearing is worn out

Two bad transmissions, with too much play in the bearings, i've heard some rough ones, and everyone usually just replaces worn out stock, with supposed not worn out stock.
Eventually, you're going to run out of life left in used old stock parts.

So buy an ls1 now and save yourself the work of swapping to another used 15 year old ka transmission.
