I was just playing Devil's advocate. Truthfully, this SR will be my last 4 cylinder engine.

yea i wish i could enjoy my sr lol i traded for the car got to drive it for like 4 days and its been sitting for like 2 months ... ive dropped the trans 4 times lol no one can tell me what the problem is ...

could very well be the clutch. when you shift and it grinds will it actually go in gear or it won't go in gear at all? If it grinds when going in gear but actually does gear its probably the trans if it won't go in gear at all but the transmission bench shifts ok its probably the clutch. if neither of those are right remove the driveshaft, cap the output shaft hole, start the car and see if it shifts, if it does chances are its a driveshaft issue.

well when im shifting it only makes a lil grind for 2nd gear sometimes.... the main grinding happens as im letting go of the clutch to move

now if i rev it higher it will sometimes grind just a little bit or not at all and i can drive it but i have to rev it high to go and idk the rpm cause my tach dont work

might be the operator
well, installer... not using enough, or the right gear lube.
i've seen kids eat through half a dozen transmissions putting a quart of 10w40 in them.

2 quart of mobil 75w-90 is what i put it in.. the first trans had a lot of metal shavings it in but the one in it now has none the gear oil was clean..
