Old muscle car guys have been using hockey pucks on motors for years, with more power than 94.8% of you will ever see. I used them on a 300ish hp 240 with no issues.

You just have to be negative in every post. New wave? This is my 3rd S-chassis...Got the first one in 2002..

The point isnt that I dont want to spend the money. Its that most of the designs out there are crap. The only ones that are any good are $300. And even then they're not really the style Im looking for. When you just run out and buy overpriced crap without even thinking about what you're doing, the hobby has lost its magic..

anyway...

Anyone have some fucked up stock mounts I can get to working on these? lol

JGS semi-solid urethane mounts or JGS rubber mounts. Look into those, very affordable.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there.
the "OG" 240 crowd was all about making their own custom parts and actually building everything they needed/wanted for their cars.
Then it became about who spent the most on the name brand stuff. Who had the cooler part's lists.

So, to me, talking about different ways to make your own engine mounts is pretty "OG"
who cares if it is to just "save a buck" or not. its pretty obvious that the discussion is about better ways to do it than just a bolt through a dixie cup

omgosh- end of the day you spend $50 on bs mounts, they will ride like shit... you will be in the market for quality mounts if you have any common sense

mike- 300hp, wow thats crazy an you used the hockey pucks......cool story. i would imagine it would be a v8 thing since they make tons more trq/hp, having a solid mount's would greatly help to put the power down. 94.8% off the nissan crowd doesn't need solid mounts and your pissy 300hp didnt need it either

empire- THE "OG" NISSAN CREW MADE THERE OWN PARTS B/C BACK WHEN 240'S STARTED TO BECOME THE CAR TO MODIFY THE MARKET WAS LIMITED TO PARTS. FAST FOWARD 20 YRS NOW EVERYTHING CAN BE PURCHASED FOR THE 240, QUALITY PARTS THAT ARE TESTED AN PROVEN, YOU GOTTA PAY TO PLAY!

My ass the market was limited, in 2000, intensepowers catalog was just as loaded as now, but the prices were much more reasonable, new tein flex's were around 1100

Of course a redtop motorset was 3500 from heavythrottle

^And nice s14s could be had for the sub 3000 dollar range. lol

Anthony...having solid mounts isnt always about putting power down. I like how they feel when driving. You hit the gas real fast and the car does what you tell it to, it doesnt feel like the motor is sitting in a bowl of jello...

my lag is your courtesy head start

ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!
