HELP! Installed new pads on the Z, weird noise?
Hey whats up guys I just put new Wagner thermoquiet pads all around on the Z and I also machined/turned the rotors, my problem I am having now is when I go to brake theirs a weird noise, nothing scrapping like the backing plate, clips etc. but its the weirdest noise sounds like a police car is behind me with there siren on lol. If anyone has any ideas and could help I would greatly appriciate it.
Thank's!
Thank's!

Help us help you...
There are alot of Zs out there, what model do you have? Pictures could help us...or even you. Check some images about how they should look when installed. (I run these pads on my r32 brakes and have no issues.)
Pull the pads and check there they are contacting the rotors. This is just a shot in the dark, but you could have put them (one or all) on backwards...but thats a guess with very little to go on.

Did you put brake greese on all of the backing plates and shims? Did you bed the brakes in correctly?
If it is all of the time, then your pads are rubbing the rotors in bad ways.
are the calipers good?
what did you do with your rear brakes/e-brake (assuming 300zx)
Does it continue when you press the brake pedal?
Any time worse than another ie- when first driving, after driving for a bit, after heavy braking
Another option to consider is that something went bad at just the same time. Seen it happen. Someone will jack their car up, one side at a time, up and down a few times to do their brakes, and it kills their wheel bearings. bad bearings will whine and whurl
