Nissan/Infiniti Tech SR20DET? RB26DETT? VQ35DE? What's it all mean? Find out here!

I'm probably over analyzing this...

nooo its not starting, my electric fan comes one ( wired into its own relay into the aux ignition )

but the egi pump relay is buzzing now actually jumped over to my fan relay and created a buzz too. maybe my battery is fucked? full charge too. hmmm getting a new injector and egi pump relay in an hour. hope that solves this.

thanks royce, i already did the seek and destroy method you stated for my plugs etc which led to the original diag of my cyl. #2 not firing via the spark plug. so i replaced all plugs and the car ran great for a day with a hiccup or two and then all of a sudden back to 3cyl awesomeness. oh and since this problem occured ive done a few compression tests to be safe and everything is all good

welll, now with the new relay and a jump from the battery pack, the car runs like butter and syrup on yo hotcakes. motor is quiet as ever, i checked every single fucking ground for any type of paint etc. everything is bien. we'll determine this inj situation further after driving. i bought a set but i want to wait, as in no returns after fuel has been ran through.

so after installing the new injector today, i de pressurized the fuel system by disconnecting the plug in the trunk to the fuel pump, after i finished everything i reconnected everything and now the car turns over but stumbles to start and dies. is it from all the air that entered with the injector being popped out etc? i also managed to smash my connector to the injectore but it was still able to plug onto the injector, the inner orange area was fine it was just the brittle black part that kinda disintigrated. i put my ear to the fuel pump with my key turned to aux right before turning it over, my fans are on, but even with my ear to the pump cover i cant even hear the slightest hum. its only a stock used fuel pump i replaced a couple of months ago, it was in decent shape.

ok so , i replaced the injector o-rings, re-seated it correctly, got some new hardware for the cap, the plug is still broken but the prongs line up and slide over the male injector prongs. (i have pictures), after a call to my friend art he informed me the iridium spark plugs i used are total shit even from ngk and recommended the v-powers. so i acquire them, install. my battery was dead due to my harness(that meets the power terminal on the battery) and after a tiny wiggle the car had power again. i checked the plug to the fuel pump and the yellow wires were getting power. so then i assumed that maybe a shit ton of air got into the fuel system from having the injector out. with my pops help turning the key we removed the fuel line to the rail from the new fuel filter ( it would push out fuel when cranked but nothing crazy only small spurts). then checked the return fuel line from the rail and the return rail was yeilding NO FUEL when cranked? is this correct? shouldn't fuel be coming out from whats being pushed into the rail from the pump? or is it just flooding into the cylinder via the injector? (Note: i swapped my fuel filter when first diagnosing these problems and it was clogged) ( no. #2 cylinder's injector was replaced with a new one) (note: when removing the brand new iridium spark plugs the #2 cyl. plug was wet, while the others were not)

so after letting my battery charge up a little i tried cranking it and using some starting fluid sprayed into my throttle body via the plastic port on the intake tube before the throttle body. it started right up and i had to force it to maintain any rpms, it smoked white through my exhaust and sounded like shit until it died, then i would let the key sit in the AUX position (right before starting) so my fuel pump would prime up and then proceed to crank after about 5 min. it would start and sound great but immediatley die, like this. CRANK- BROOOM1KRPMFOR5SEC-STUMBLEDROPDEAD.

(note: when removing the new injector the first time to replace the o-rings there was plenty of fuel chillin in the port it sits in and while cranking it it shot out fuel ONCE and then flooded out)

my thoughts:

maf?
the broken plug for the inj?
fuel pump?

parts replaced so far:

- 4 new v-power bkr5e-11 NGK plugs all gapped to .044
-z32 fuel filter
-fuel injector and o-rings on cyl number 2
-hardware for finjector cap. (2- m5.8 screws and lock washers)
-uhh i forgot.

pictures:

my question is. i bought the i injector new, came with two o-rings on it. one larger upper, one smaller lower(before the pintle cap) , i then bought a seperate o-ring kit. it came with the rubber insulator for the outside cap. the two o-rings i had and a large rubber insulator? what is the large rubber insulator used for? when i removed the factory injector i saw no rubber insulator like this.

I would say you have your fuel lines swapped. Make sure your lines are not backwards. The feed line should be on the opposite end of the fuel pressure regulator. If your lines are backwards your pushing against a one way valve.
