I'd probably just leave the stock manifold on it, port it and run a really short intake and a 60-65mm throttle body. Trying to make the GTi-R manifold work would cost to much money and be a total pain in the ass, though it'd be cool.

Thanks for the clarification. The info I pulled was from Wiki...so take it for what you will. We all make due with what ever lump we have under the hood and most wish they had something different or some modification done to it that money or time somehow limits.

The idea of having a SR powered car that was along the same lines as the S2000 would be cool. I'd like to think someday I could drop in an aluminum blocked power plant into my ride but for now I have to settle.

Back to LSDs, Drive-Line, and suspension though...

Have you guys done the subframe colars and poly bushing. I figure since i was there swapping out the diff might as well do it right.

VLSD, Bushings, and just picked up aluminum uprights from a Z32 should be a decent upgrade package...brakes and 5 lug to follow soon there after

I have ES ploy bushings milled down so the subframe sits flush against the chassis, and ES poly diff bushings (S14 only.) I'm happy with the results.

Z32 uprights are a sweet upgrade for S13's. I just ditched mine on my S14 yesterday because they dont really work that great due to the shocks being much longer. But they're a lot lighter. I would advise against poly bushings on/in anything that has to rotate to any degree. They make good mounts and rigid bushings, but if it has any sort of movement then dont use them. They run out of grease quickly then bind horribly and actually become worse than the stock bushings.

Q45's are a cheap solution to larger brakes, virtually same rotor size as Z32 and pad surface area. Only down side is they dont look as cool.

I got the z32 rear brakes with the uprights. I do believe that there is someone with a front Q brake set-up for sale right now on here.

Good advise for a daily type car...polys would be best served for Sway Bars and the subframe mounting points and not so much for the control arms and such then.

I drove the two last event and WOW was there a difference in tuning styles. It was then that I did everything I could to mimick the feeling I had in Dan's car We do have the same goals.

Driving with the helical gave me more confidence to push the car in grip, whereas driving the drift car with the 2way was a very... how should I say... limiting experience? I guess if the load was set lower and the alignment better, perhaps it would have felt different. But the car either wanted to oversteer or straighten up... I was pretty impressed with my times at that event with how much I held back (or felt held back) in that car.

For all around, I would say vlsd... If you want something "for little bit of this and/or that", it's a lsd that would do ok in slide or grip applications and still be civil. Hope my opinion and miniscule experience helps

Is it sad that this is one of the only tech related threads in Nissan tech right now?

I think it mentioned it already, but I did end up getting those z32 uprights. Now on looking for either ZX dampers or rear coil overs (folk type mounts anyway). Also still looking for the 4.36 diff, but time and money are a little short right now. My 240 and $$ is in the shop getting squirted, back to its original Sapphire Blue after rocking tradition TR matte black. i'll have before and after pix in a few days.

koni sports are $112 ea from tirerack right now, get those, some sleeves, and a pair of springs, you'll have new useful coils for the rear, for less than some busted ass junk used coils you'll find around here.
