Hey, uh. Sean. Did you read your invoice that came with that clip you guys just got? Mine said osaka on it... yours probably did too. Since we both got them from the same place! Haha.

Osaka is pretty good. They usually leave all the aftermarket stuff on clips, so that's a cool little bonus. And the motor that came in my clip runs like a champ. Most importers are going to have a horror story or two, but the fact that Osaka has been in business for as many years as they have means they must be doing OK.

Honestly if you're on a budget, get the SR. The only CA parts out there are pretty expensive. And when buying a CA you have to (at a minimum) budget to buy a new turbo. I can already guarantee that the stock turbo is 100% blown. Honestly most CA's are in desperate need of a new gasket kit and a set of bearings as well. It's the KA24E of the JDM S13's.

 

the topic was CA or SR and you ONLY said (they nearly cost the same when all is said and done). sounded like you were talking about in relation to the question, not in comparison to each other.

But JDMofMiami is the middle man who has to argue when they receive bad motors and wont buy from them if they send them shit, opposed to Osaka motors of 2007 who were notorious for sending boat anchor condition motors to your door step, and their customer service sucked back then.. like motors with cut the fuck up harness' and missing sensors, but maybe it's changed? idk..either way go through someone with start-up warrante and stick to it.

That's where you guys got that S13 Silvia clip right? I believe that's Osaka's new name. That's where I got mine, and my clip had Osaka packing slip on it.. I really don't know.

But I agree. JDM of Miami does sell good motors. I got a longblock from them and it looked brand new and ran perfect.

That clip was supposed to be a complete clip with body panels, after it got here, it was a clip, with panels stomped flat by bigfoot himself.
