Cool, yea I found a good site that goes through it pretty well, I'll post it up for everyone else when I get home.

hey i have an idea.

replace the knock sensor with a working knock sensor.

since, you know, the Nissan engineers probably put it there for a reason.

75 cent resistor or 150 dollar knock sensor? hmmm ill go with the resistor. especially if your motor is running well and you keep it serviced well. theres really no need to have one for the mechanically inclined folks.

Not to mention that some of us can't run them properly... An example would be my external wastegate that triggered my NEW super sensitive knock sensor every time it opened.

K bro Ill tell you what, you fork over the $200 something it's going to cost me in parts and would like to come and replace this damn sensor for me I would completely agree to changing out the sensor. But as far as the fact that I don't have the money to fork over and I can do this temporary fix for the time being is a great idea because now I don't have to worry about long term damage to my car because it's constantly running in safe mode and timing fluxuating due to the fact that the sensor is bad. Otherwise shut the fuck up.

Knock sensors don't cost $200 bucks dude. I got mine for $49 shipped. They are all over ebay.
