S13 redtop rough idle/odd throttle response HELP PLEASE!!!
have you checked for boost leaks? i was just re reading your original post. colder air is more dense than hot air which might be a cause for your car running better in the cold, but maybe im wrong. just a thought. where in st pete?
Ok so today I went to work on the car a little, and after putting some gas in it because it ran out last time lol. To my surprise, it started right up and idled so smooth but kinda high. It would rev out perfect as long as I went slow on the throttle. If I stabbed it quick it would cut out completely until I let off the throttle. After it got to temperature, it started stumbling just a little. After running a little longer, it finally just died. Now the ecu is throwing MAF and knock sensor codes. Also it won't start at all now unless I unplug the maf, but when I plug it back in the engine dies.

Got rid of the bad sohc maf and replaced with an sr maf (thanks blue_eclipse93), also opened my ecu to find a lot of dirt, dust, and ANTS!!! (that's right....ants lol). After putting everything back together, engine is purring smoothly on every startup, idles fine, and makes it all the way to operating temp without a stutter......BUT......yes there is a but, i took it for a short drive around the block and it breaks up bad under boost/too much throttle. Replaced spark plugs because other ones were fouled. Plugs are gapped at .030, is that too close?? Could this be causing the breakup under load?

The idle half of the problem is definitely fixed. Starts right up and idles at a steady 850 revs and never stumbles, now I just gotta fix the breakup under load. It has to be ignition related, either coil packs or ignitor, but I'm leaning toward coil packs like Mohawk said. If anyone knows of someone selling a set, let me know. Thanks
