Now what did we learn from all of this??????
When I sold my s13 I had told the guy upfront, prior to closing the deal, that the car would stay in my posession until he had it registered and applied for a temp tag at the least. Gotta cover your own ass 100%. Letting someone drive around in a car that is still considered "yours" is a huge liability. Learned this lesson first hand from my dad. He did what you did and the guy didn't get it registered or tagged right away. drove around my dads car for about 4 days and got into an accident. apparently when the shit hit the fan the guy denied owning the car and such. dad had to go through all this mess using the only proof he had that this guy did buy the car was a bill of sale he mocked up prior to selling.
