Default Eliminating Rear Wheel Hop

Here is the deal. I want this to be a technical thread. I understand there are fragments of information around the internet and in the this forum, but I want to bring everything together as one thread for everyone to read and understand. Some of you who are well attuned to the S13/S14 rear end, please chime in.

We all know because of our IRS and many other variables that our S series cars get wheel hop. Some more than others depending on the condition of the rear end. My question is what components of the rear end need to be replaced, adjusted, and or tuned to eliminate the wheel hop. I understand all the rear components work together. It would be great for some of you knowledgeable people to post about all the components of the S chassis rear end, what they do and how they work, what are the problem areas, and what parts to replace to eliminate wheel hop. I also understand there may not be one right answer, but those of you who have the knows please chime in.

subframe spacers and solid/new bushings seem to help just fine.

and instead of constantly posting up stupid little emoticons and pictures, why not post up your opinion or solution. you're worse that mattback, he talks shit but at the very least hell offer his opinion in a snide manner, which makes some sense.

Fucking little drama queen, fine.

I did the same modifications as the previous poster described and it helped out.

Better?

I was agreeing with you. There is nothing to "defend."

Good lord.

Enough children!

Epstein come save my thread.

... I have subframe spacers already. They helped a little bit, but I believe the problem lies elsewhere.

there's all sorts of fun bushings in your involving your rear suspension, trying replacing those with polyurethane units. shitty shocks can also cause this.

this should do the trick.
eBay Motors: ENERGY SUSPENSION MASTER BUSHING KIT 240SX (S14) 95-98 (item 270316068755 end time Mar-10-09 15:51:42 PDT)

wheel hopping is caused by shitty bushings failing to absorb the forces put on the wheel/control arms during hard acceleration.
