ka24de idle issues S13
have you tried to narrow it down to one cylinder yet?
let it idle and pull one plug wire off at a time. If you pull one off and it doesn't make any difference, then you know that the problem has to do with that cylinder. Makes troubleshooting a little easier. You're be surprised how well a KA will run with just 3 cylinders.

re: empire
i tried isolating it to a single cylinder but no luck there, i even replaced the plugs and wires and tried still the same, so its no single cylinder, but what i dont get is that majority of the time i have no issues idles perfect no misfires etc. the distributer cap and rotor was replace about a year ago.
one other thing i noticed anytime i step on the brakes the idle drops 100 or so and when i let off the brakes it goes back up 100 or so. the electric fan kicks on too it does the same thing. Could it be a bad distributer? or could the timing be slightyly off? but like i said it doesnt do it all the time?

when i take the oil fill cap off while the motor is running it dies. i have only done this while the motor is cold. is that normal?
also an update on the idle issue after the engine has warmed up, i think its the fans pulling to much power, so i think a higher amperage alternator might fix that issue. but still am having the cold engine idle issue at start up
