why do ppl insist on layin down 30k for school when you get the same if not better schooling for a 3rd of the price?..to me it doesnt make sence..either ur just ignorant or you have a money tree in the back yard..like a said, if ur good at what you do regardless ur gonna get a job and ur gonna make money no matter what school you attended..if you think payin roughly 30k for uti or wyo is automatically gonna get you a job and bring you in the big bucks ur on crack..

Not everyone is born with super power car knowledge like you, the other %99 of Americans who pursue careers HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL to be succesful. I don't understand why you would say school doesnt matter. If you think going to ptec/mti/other local tech school is going to get you big bucks your on crack. There is a huge difference in the experience you get from a nationwide familiar school and a local hole in the wall. Bringing ignorance or money into the question is just DUMB. First of all most people who pursue a higher education are in debt for many years thereafter graduating. Secondly, your basically saying that if I wanted to be a lawyer, and I was good on my high school debating team, it wouldn't matter if I went to community college or Harvard , I would get the same kind of job.

I went to UTI, had a basic knowledge of auto tech before going, and I am making great money. Couldn't be where I am today if I had just attended MTI (my local tech school).

Wow dude. Way to have a mature conversation. First of all, my dealership has no idea how much I paid for UTI. In fact, THEY paid $6k for me to work at their dealership (along with more from VW themselves for that matter). Second of all, (last time I checked) VW sits pretty high on the totem pole as far as vehicle sales and service are concerned. Now your just being ignorant.

Its a joke buddy.. Payin a ton for a school in MY OPINION is not practical when you get the same schooling for a fraction of the price..not tryin to start anything just puttin in my opinion..the way things are in this contry the hole in the Wall place as you like to call it is the best place to further someone education

I went to Erwin tech, learned a lot from them, got a job at acura right after I graudated. Worked there 3 years, didn't make enough money so I quit and I am back in school for computer information systems. The point is, if you like busting your balls for little money and like spending thousands on tools and a decent tool box, working in the 100 degree weather and getting dirty then go for it, but if that doesn't sound appealing to you then go to a 4 year college, get a degree and work in an air conditioned office and work on your car as a hobby.
