Question about my 240sx
Alright well first of all, when the previous owner bought the car, the suspension was messed up so he replaced almost all the main things with megan racing parts (adjustable camber, tie rod ends, toe, etc) and springs. except for the tie rods themselves. Anyway, so when i floor the car in 1st gear it seems to hesitate from like 1000-4000rpm's as if it wants to go faster but cant. So i'm wondering if this is due to such stiff suspension or if there is something wrong with the engine? a couple people said it may need new bushings. Could it simply just need an oil change? Also, it has a welded diff, so maybe that could have somethin to do with it? He said it might have aftermarket cams in it and some ppl said that can cause the car to drive weird. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or could help me out at all? I know its probably hard to know without actually driving the car. But if anyone knows what could be causing it, i would be greatly appreciative.
honestly, i cant even remember haha. the car has been sitting in my driveway since i bought it like a week ago cuz its not registered or insured yet until i sell my other car. So i'm jus goin off of the few times that i test drove it and when i drove it home. I was thinkin that possibly it needed a new clutch, but i dont think thats what the prob is.
check your base timing, run some seafoam for shits and giggles, but other than that, you need to start narrowing shit down by figuring out if shit is alright like injectors, fuel, plugs, wires, blah blah, just start going to town man, youll find it, maybe your coolant temp sensor, idk
