Okay, Im not trying to threadjack but this seems like the right place to ask. So I have silvia squares and there not bright at all. My high beams are as bright as most peoples low beams and my low beams are a pretty blueish color but barely light the road. I obviously dont want to put HID bulbs in my stock lenses. What is a good bright halogen bulb that wount blind oncoming traffic and wher can I get it?

I have 6k on my truck. It's got a slight blue hint in color.
8k is for ricers and HIN events.

clawhammer's first post should have /thread. because thats all you needed to know.

4300K is the win. absolute best option for most output. 3000K is good but is more suited for foglight applications. everything else is ricer city. normally i wont hate on stuff up to about 6000K, but even that has a tinge of blue starting to show. i preach it all the time but i never understand why people want 8k, 10k, 20k stuff... but i guess they think its better than what they got?

i also recommend a full retrofit (isn't cheap) if you're wanting true light output, over a kit, as most halogen headlights with hid "kits" in them are not designed for it, and can cause glare and horrible cutoffs (as seen in clawhammers post).

get those 8k's but dont get pissed that im flashing my brights in your face because they blind me worse than a lifted chevy with his fog lights in my fac coming head on.

I have no problem with my setup on my truck dan.
Shielded on a reflector headlamp, not fluted like 240's.
It's been 3 months since someone last flashed me.
Yeah, 6k is where I would draw the line also.

true, some of the newer cars and trucks have more modern lighting setups and thus, might be able to pull it off. granted, if you compare it to a true HID side-by-side, yours won't be as good but im just saying.

you have to remember the people in here don't exactly drive cars that are younger than 10 years old most of the time
