Some Questions!
i guess the best question is...how far can u go before u need to tune these things...ive looked up some info sayin with the stock s13 redtop u can make 265whp in 13-15lbs. stock . idk how reliable that is and wen do u tune it. if u do go with a blacktop s13 n do a bb t28 tune it then or do bigger injectors then tune...unending game lol.
No way a S13 SR w/ t28 can compare to a s14 SR w/ a T28 in terms of spool.
This is the best part of a 14 motor... the instant spool. VTC makes a huge difference on spoolup. One of the first S14 swaps I ever did years ago, I unpluged the VTC while on the dyno and it was around 350-400 rpm difference. If you want that kind of performance in your 13 motor, buy a Full-Race T2 manifold for a $900. Otherwise a S13SR dyno w/ a T28 and a S14SR dyno w/ a T28 overlayed always gives the upper hand to S14 SR by a few hundred rpm.

people pour thousands into small displacement turbo motors for a few hundred rpms. Ask anyone that is into drift seriously. I know how much time, energy and $$$ I put into getting a few hundred extra rpms out of our shops race car back in the day. a few hundred rpms is mountains in terms of a turbo motor.
