Well, most people on here dont know what Ive driven since I blew up my 95 S10... So I figure Ill update people today... Its been on jack stands for 3 days because the trans took a poop... And well I decided to put some elbow grease into the looks...

Here is what It looked like the day I brought it home...

A few days Later I bought some rattle can flat black just to atleast make it one color! I also painted the wheels and and bumpers because it was hideous..

Then I took out the seats the kid had in it and replaced them with some from my 87 Rx-7
his seats

to my seats(dont mind the jams and interior color, it will be painted when I throw down some real flat black)

Then today, I got tired of the ugly ass rattle can wheels so I took em off and took some air craft remover to them...
They went from this

to this bubbling mess of goop

And then finally I ended up with a set of decent looking wheels...


And thats how she sits as of now. I have some plans for the motor/suspension. But only a few friends know of what will actually happen.

Keep any rude ass comments to yourself, Its being cleaned up as I go.

*UPDATE*

God bored today and took some aircraft cleaner to the mirrors... They arent exactly chrome anymore but they look better...

Also took some time and got some "chrome paint" to paint the leaf springs... Much better than the rusty brown they were..Once I get the othr leafs pulled they will be painted also...

 

Just got my overload springs in the mail today, next I have to go get the shocks from advance... Then maybe I can shove it in the corner without scraping bed sides...

ive alway's wanted to do a KA-T in a Hardbody!!!

 

Thats exactly what I'm planning... I'm trying to get specifics on the twice cam swap... Much more after market support over the once cam... I guess it all depends on how the rear end swap goes...

 

I want a hardbody something fierce. Once I put my RB in I want to take my duel cam, build it, and drop it in one.

 

Just wondering are you are putting a 240 suspension in it?

Cuz you weren't looking for a subframe for a s13?

If you are i know a friend that is in the process of finishing his Hardbody with a s13 suspension all the way around and is putting in a VQ35 six speed in.

This is actually my next project. Hardbody, SR, and S 13 Sus all around. I have trouble getting a SR up here so thinking Small block chevy, maybe LS1. we love trucks. go get em killa.

 

Once I get some info on the harness and a few other things this will be a dual cam also...

Yes, I am looking for an s13 subframe. I will have the IRS in the rear with coil overs and a custom coil over set up in the front. I was also thinking about a 6 spd swap...

I hate hardbodys with SR's almost as much as I hate 240's with SR's... I either want to put a CA18 in it, or build up a dual cam KA...

Buddy back home put a chevy 350 in one a long time ago. By the way, this isn't a 240 truck build it a hardbody build. A 240 truck is usually when the hatch is cut of an s13 and turned into a truck bed.

Still sweet though. keep us posted.

 

Dont do CA, it will make the truck all but useless if you ever have to do any actual truck things with it : P

Least with the KA-T you still have some TQ to work with : )
