Opinions?
haha good luck polishing cast iron.
it doesn't look bad, as long as you're matching some other stuff with the gold theme. black would go well and that's about it, polished stuff and a gold block will be failicious.
alot of people like black blocks and stuff. i prefer to paint them a flat matte gray or a silver (non-shiny). helps diagnose leaks and such much better (since you can't see shit on a black block).
and for the love of allah, tape off some stuff if you have time. painted freeze plugs ugh. not that i care much about painting engine blocks, but if you're gonna do it, have it "pop" right and leave the freeze plugs unpainted (prefer them to be new too so they're still nice looking). file off the paint on all the mating surfaces for bolt holes and brackets for accessories and stuff. makes it look alot nicer, even though half the stuff is going to be covered later on.

its the oil leaks I care about... I figure since most race team paint their blocks it can't be too bad...
people like things that you dont get over it man. you just need to get laid and you'll probably be a nice guy..
anyway i think the block doesnt look bad. +1 for being different
