thats good. i was going to run a compression test before anything. so all i really need for the motor itself would be a good metal headgasket and arp head studs? what size studs?

then a t25, bottom mount, sr injectors, safc and downpipe?

Make sure you get a rising rate fpr. You can use the stock sr rail and fpr with some very minor modifications.

tuning nowadays negates any need for changing out the FPR.

the thing about boost in general and on KAs is that you WILL turn it up. i thew out my boost controller ($20 home depot special) and ran a straight line from wastegate to source so i wouldnt even be tempted to turn it up...the KA is so much fun with it's powerband.

rising rate fpr's are garbage. it was a bandaide back when they came out and they always will be. if you have the right sized injectors you don't need even an adjustable fpr.

yup!

back in BE (before enthalpy), there was the s-afc tune...and before that it was a vortech 12:1 fmu on 270cc injectors. it was basically putting a countdown on your engine. lol

stock ka headstuds are 10mm. you can upgrade to 11mm but you have to have the block machined for them to fit properly. you only need to do the 11mm studs if you're going to run ridiculously high boost.

enjuku will also carry them, and im sure xat and dc and other shops can get them for you

i'll take 100 for 370's or 250 for a set of 550's.
