So i finally pulled off the valve cover today and found this nugget of joy.

Also there wasn't even a gasket for the middle holes on there.
This would explain crazy oil leakage (in that hole atleast) and there being no thread for the screw, and the rubber plug someone put in it.
The piece that is snapped off isn't in there so that means i was sold the car like this. whoever put the rubber plug in knew this.
i dont know what to do now. i have to take the car off the road until i find a solution.

it really is a bummer. especially for a KA that was "freshly rebuilt 5000 miles ago". how much do you want for the s14 head? also i have no idea what im doing when it comes to replacing the entire head so if anyone wants to help or has advice i would really appreciate it. thanks for the support.
